I'm a huge fan of Wool & Water, an Amsterdam-based small business that makes beautiful knitted accessories for humans and animals, such as the braces I'm wearing and Blod's bow tie in the photos. After such a difficult time dealing with recent copyright infringement issues, making heart-shaped ornaments ahead of this year's Christmas season has been an enjoyable and uplifting task. This year I'm applying a thick, glossy coat of resin to each one to add extra shine and protection when hung on display. The downside is that it takes at least 24 hours to dry, so it's time-consuming but absolutely worth it. Gold leaf and glitter makes for an especially striking effect under resin! The first lot of ornaments sold out within 48 hours, but I've been making more in the meantime. I'll give...
