More ornaments coming soon!

After such a difficult time dealing with recent copyright infringement issues, making heart-shaped ornaments ahead of this year's Christmas season has been an enjoyable and uplifting task. This year I'm applying a thick, glossy coat of resin to each one to add extra shine and protection when hung on display. The downside is that it takes at least 24 hours to dry, so it's time-consuming but absolutely worth it. Gold leaf and glitter makes for an especially striking effect under resin! Local Etsy Christmas Market

It's that time of year again, and I'll be back at the fabulous Esty/Cambridge Made Christmas Fair where over 30 designer-makers from the Cambridge Made team of Etsy sellers will be selling their wares.  The fun takes place at St Andrews Street Baptist church in central Cambridge from 1-3 Dec. I'll have tree decorations, sketches, Christmas cards and other bits of my work for sale. Come down and enjoy a day out! 'Flower Purr' auction

Continuing my efforts to raise funds to cover legal & admin costs regarding the art theft issue, I've been digging into my personal collection for artworks to auction. Copper and gold leaf on 'By Your Side'

'By Your Side' features a blue tabby with gittering gold leaf eyes next to a fluffy gold kitten. It has a luxurious background of resin-coated copper leaf.  Copper leaf turns out to be a bit trickier to work with than gold leaf - it seems harder to transfer from the wax paper onto the canvas. But the effect is stunning, and I particularly like the contrast against blue colours, like in this painting.
