Six fluffy faces

Recent commission of six beloved cats on a 12 x 16" canvas - Welly, Max, Ceejay,  William, Olly & Jasper:  It was a joy to paint so many fluffy faces! (Sadly due to some unpleasant internet types stealing my images to use on manufactured products I have to watermark them from now on - I'll explain more about this horrible experience in a future blog post)

Which is purrtiest?

Over 100 people kindly offered their opinion on Facebook.com/KimHaskinsArt and Instagram.com/Haskins.Kim over which print of my painting 'Purrty' was most appealing to them: the one with punchy, bright colours or the one with soft pastel hues? Around 30% opted for the latter, which means that a print of 'Purrty' in her most vivid form will be trialled as a poster print and greetings card which will go on sale on the website on 20 June 2016. RSPB art show - 12 June

Come and see me at a one-day alfresco art exhibition in association with the Artists' Network Bedfordshire within the beautiful grounds of the RSPB's headquarters at The Lodge in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Let's hope the weather is kind! I'll be there with paintings, prints and gift items (bird, other wildlife and cat-related) under a gazebo. It's a very special place to me that I often visit to get a bit of headspace (I even went into labour there three years ago...) Rest in peace, Poppy-Mai

Poppy-Mai, the little girl who was the inspiration for the painting 'Poppy's Field' passed away yesterday from an extremely rare rhabdoid tumour. Poppy-Mai's parents own the original painting but I am selling different print versions to help raise money for Poppy's Trust, which aims to provide a respite sanctuary for children with life threatening illnesses and their families.
